Vista Home Premum (32 bit) all updates installed Yes that was the error code I am getting next to the exclamation that it is driver issue The screen saver also works once the computer is finally to the desktop,so I am lost and I know I don't know enough about video cards. Not worth shipping back even though under warranty but my question is? Can I disable it and just put in another video card or because it is part of the motherboard I wouldn't be able to do that? first the tech wanted me to send in the display then he wanted me to send in the tower.

The computer is still under warranty but dealing with Gateway is like talking to the wall in my office.

after a while I hit the Auto button on the side of the monitor several times and the display comes on fine.I checked device manage and sure enough there is a yellow exclamation next to the Intel g33/g31 display adapter I downloaded and installed the latest drivers and still have the yellow exclamation. The video eventually comes on but when the computer is booting up there are blue thin pixel lines about 3/4 way down and to the right of the black screen going from left to right then just hangs sometimes with white blocks across the very top of screen. I then tried doing a normal start and this is what happened.

I told it yes and it came up normal in safe mode. When I left the screen saver was going fine. I have a Gateway desk computer with the IntelĀ® G33/G31 Express Chipset which I am thinking is an integrated video card? I came home this afternoon and the computer was sitting waiting for whether is should start in safe mode.
